A 342-horsepower, 6.0-liter V8 paired with a six-speed automatic comes standard, but buyers can also choose a 181-horsepower 2.8-liter, four-cylinder diesel engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Buyers also have opportunities to expand their cargo volume: the standard wheelbase has 239.7 cubic feet while the extended wheelbase has 284.4 cubic feet. The maximum payload also plays a critical role in the van's usefulness, so two options are available: a maximum payload of 3,234 pounds with the 2500 or a maximum payload of 4,192 pounds with the 3500. Standard features include a driver information display, vinyl upholstery, doors that open to a 60/40-split on the right side, six D-ring cargo tie-downs, a radio, and an auxiliary jack. If the basics didn't offer enough options, several optional features and packages are available to spruce up this van. An infotainment package that includes Bluetooth and navigation is available, for example.
